PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Elandon Roberts’ groin injury won’t keep him out of Thursday night’s game against New England.Roberts is active five days after injuring the groin in the first half of a loss to Arizona on Sunday. Roberts sustained in the injury in the first quarter and briefly returned to the game before leaving for good. The Steelers (7-5) are thin at inside linebacker. Veterans Kwon Alexander and Cole Holcomb are already out for the season with injuries.Pittsburgh left guard Isaac Seumalo is also active despite leaving the loss to the Cardinals with a shoulder injury. Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett, who is out indefinitely after undergoing right ankle surgery, is inactive. WASHINGTON (AP) — Hunter Biden was indicted on nine tax charges in California on Thursday as a special counsel investigation into the business dealings of the president's son intensifies against the backdrop of the looming 2024 election.The new charges — three felonies and six misdemeanors — come in addition to federal firearms charges in Delaware alleging Hunter Biden broke a law against drug users having guns in 2018.Hunter Biden “spent millions of dollars on an extravagant lifestyle rather than paying his tax bills,” special counsel David Weiss said in a statement. The charges are focused on at least $1.4 million in taxes he owed during between 2016 and 2019, a period where he has acknowledged struggling with addiction. If convicted, Hunter Biden could face up to 17 years in prison. (EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — Four people are dead and one is injured following a shooting northeast of Peyton that happened just before midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 6.According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO), a shooting was reported at 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday in the 21000 block of Akawi Way, northeast of Peyton in unincorporated El Paso County. Due to the distance, deputies did not arrive at the scene until after Midnight. Peter Simon, the New Hampshire man accused of striking and killing a Waltham police officer and National Grid worker at a detail site, had been in legal trouble more than once prior to Wednesday’s incident, according to reports.In fact, Simon, a former resident of Brattleboro, Vt., fled from police before crashing head on into a public transportation bus in Keene, N.H.
